Earlier today I scanned the posted list of Webby nominees. I vaguely remember seeing the Jamie Oliver site listed.
The evening scan through the RSS feeds of the day and it’s Jamie vs. the Muppets, Adam Sandler, Eddie Izzrd (who?), and Bruce Willis (why?).
Help me beat the Muppets!!:
Hi Guys Just arrived in Italy, and heard that my website has been shortlisted in this years prestigious Webby awards in their celebrity section!!! Over the next two weeks there’s a public vote to choose the best, so please nip…

A few weeks back my wife made a comment about a coworker with a Shuffle hanging around her neck.
“Have you seen those? How come you don’t have one? They’re only a hundred bucks…. I think _I_ might want one….” she said.
So last weekend we bought her the Shuffle, but I’m giving it a test drive for a week. Excellent device, excellent sound, but I’m not one to not look down to see what’s playing. Different listening habits, I guess. Maybe I’m not a random person.
I’m still very happy with my old 10 gig iPod. It may be circa May 2002, but it’s got the Newer Tech battery and continues work perfectly fine. Battery will hold up for a week of commuting listening.
Only a few more days with the shuffle. Time to load it up with all new music.

I didn’t think to do this before I started deleting feeds that I no longer subscribed to, but you know how it is. In the heyday (just a mere few months ago) when you subscribed to every podcast that came out only to see them fall stale, or lose interest in the show. Weeded iPodderX out of about 50 podcasts.
Should have kept a copy of that list.
I’ve found that my time devoted to actual listening has settled to rhythm of about 120 minutes a day. Door to door to work is about 45 minutes on a good day.
I’m filling in with:
Bicyclemark’s Communique
Earthwatch Radio
IT Conversations
MacCast
Catholic Insider
KCRW’s Design and Architecture

It all started with a posting to Jamie Oliver’s Moblog which pulled up this image. That sent me to find out more about the School Lunch War. More on Feed Me Better. Finally, I’ve entered The Meatrix.
It’s good to know where your food is coming from and being conscious of that. It’s even better to know your farmer. You can find mine at The Morningside Farmer’s Market on Saturday’s.
