A while back I posted about a thread of folks getting XM for $77 once the free trial ran out. Well, my trial ended last night on the way home. After 3 months, I’m sold. $12.95/month isn’t horrible, but why not try for the saver plan first.
800-892-5400 and mentioned something along the lines of “the dealer mentioned a $77 special once the trial is over” was enough to get me the special.
Bottom line, it doesn’t hurt to ask. All they could have said was nope, and I probably would have went for the normal price.
Update – and now tuned on to XM Online via a slick little widget.

There’s various flavors of this story that have been out over the last week or so. I can’t say that I really blame the movie industry for not adopting the UMD. With the price of Duo cards dropping (2 gig from Amazon for less than $100) why wouldn’t you buy the DVD and rip it yourself.

Only one year after Sony launched the PlayStation Portable, rumors are emerging that production of movies based on the PSP’s proprietary UMD format will come to a screeching halt.
I would like to take a turn with a LocationFree, though.
